hi

im colin, 17 and i live in scotland. i am currently an apprentice joiner but
still dream of being a pilot (comercial), but i dont know where to start.

i have a couple of hours flight lessons and have been doing research on a flight
acadamy in oxford.

the first question is: i have been reading forums and alot of people becoming
pilots have A-levels. the course i want to do dosn't say i need them bbut is it
pretty important to have them.

the second question is: where would i go to get a medical check to make sure im
ok to become a pilot.

any help would be great. thanks very muck

Hi Colin!
We are all have been dreaming to become pilot, the only difference is that we are deciding to make next move.
1. Grades are not that important at least here in USA,however I know from the fact tha Europe is little bit different. I do know that grades are playing factor in determining what applicant will be admited on the flight training.
2. I do not know what are the medical requirements for Scotland pilots, you will have to go back at the same place where you are taking flight lessons and ask some of the senior pilots where is the best place to get medical exam.
