Question
There is one more question I would like to ask you. Is it true that Southwest is supposed to be the safest airline in the airlines? Im flying Southwest in a few days, but what worrys me is the low fares. ($49.00 one way) Would they cut back on maintenence to offer the flight this low?
Thanks for your recent answer. You were a great help. Thanks, Kelly

Answer
Hi Kelly,

You are correct - Southwest does have one of the best safety records in the industry. Their low fares are a result of a very efficient operation caused by many factors - none of which involve cutting back on safety related items like training or maintenance. Their safety record speaks for itself.

Have a good flight.   Ned
