Question
I am trying to study about principles and operation of jet engines. Also, I am very interested in enhancing my knowledge about today's jet cockpit systems like the FMS, EFIS, etc.
Would you be able to recommend a place where I could get DVD's(audio/video) that explain all of this in specific detail?

Thanks.

The modern commercial jet liners are extremelly complicated systems to learn then in short time. However the simple explanation for those systems you can find through the surf on the web. Put in Google "airline cockpit systems" and try to search as much as you can. There is a few really cool web sites, but of course they do not cover all your questions.

One of the easiest way to learn more about airlines cockpit sytems is to get Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. In it you have complete Boeing 737 cockpit and it is an really good copy original cockpit. Also in program you have complete explanation of evey system, how works and how operate. In my opinion this is an excellent software to learn every system and component in different type of cockpits. Also it is very cheap software about $39.00 in USA.
