Question
i am 18 year old and havea dream of bieng a commercial pilot from my childhood..i  have got sinus problem wich sometimes results into sour throat and maybe when it gets worst my ear pains... i have cosulted many.... ol the doctors gave me same treatment but it was for temperary cur... all i have to do is abstaining from  cold stuffs... will i get pass in my medical test of becoming a pilot..or is this problem a big issue? please give me some advice...thanx... hopping for a quick respond

Answer
Hey Ali,

You'll want to get your sinus problem taken care of completely before working towards becoming a commercial pilot. Sinus problems are nothing to mess with in aviation, as commercial pilot's experience many pressure changes (to varying degrees) every day. These pressure changes DO NOT mix well sinus blockages. Perhaps your best solution is to contact an aviation medical examiner to see what they advise.

Hope this helps, Ali. Thanks for the question!

Colin
