Hi There,

     I have a question about spiritual energy.  I recently went to a funeral and saw family members who I haven't seen in quite some time.  During this day I had very weird interactions with people.  I have had two male cousins flirt with me and tell me they loved me and that if I ever feel like being a cousin isn't an issue to give them a call!  I have had this experience with women as well in my family, they tell me that it makes them feel warm inside to just be near me.  

      I have had a lot of readings the person always mentioned that I have a very bright light within me.  One person told me all he could see was bright light when he tried to look at me.  Is this reason for attracting proposals from cousins who know we cannot be together in that way?  Lol.  

     I have had this happen before and tried to explain to the person what they were experiencing was not genuine.  It did not go well.  What is going on?

Dear Rhonda,

Thanks for reaching out.  Here's my take and you can decide whether this resonates with you or not.  You are a bright light, a divine being.  We all are.  Some of us show light more easily than others.  When folks see a bright light, they want to be near it.  Some shy away because it feels so different, but many others are attracted.

Many times men are attracted to the light and it becomes confused with sexual attraction.  BTW, that can happen with women as well.  They can't quite explain why they want to be near you and so the ego comes up with a good reason- they've got the hots for you.  

Trying to explain to someone why their feelings are not genuine rarely goes well.  It's like when my child is cranky and I ask them if they are tired (because those two usually go together) and he gets angry.  He feels like his feeling was dismissed.

What people are experiencing is real to them so don't try to explain to them what's going on.  

Here's the other part of my take in this.  You are a magnificent Creator (like all of us) and you have created this interesting situation of people being attracted to your light in all sorts of ways.  

In other words, what we create is all an illusion.  If it feels uncomfortable, seize that time to see the illusion, dive into the feelings, and reclaim your power from the illusion.  

You are a bright light.  Let it shine. Don't worry about the attractions- it is all an illusion anyway.  Focus on being the bright light and know that you are creating this wonderful journey.

Have compassion for others.  Enjoy the light.
