Ayurveda/Essential Tremors

I am a 5'1" 130 lbs. 65 year old, small framed white woman, who has just been diagnosed with essential tremors. My head shakes all the time, and this makes it difficult to feel comfortable in public most of the time.  I have tried all herbs to control the symptoms. Some have helped to a small degree, and now I would like to use ayurvedic herbs to help heal my nervous system. I have found this site informative and appreciate your time and experience on this debilitating condition.  My much appreciation, Juliet

Dear Juliette

In india we treat this condition very successfully as with the herbs we also give some natural minerals and metals. But any way please try ashwgandha, shatavari and kaunch beej 2 gms each twice a day in divided doses with hot milk boiled with cinnamon or ginger.

ashwgandha in indian ginseng, shatvari is asparagus, kaunch is mucuna. so with these names you can easily find these in stores near to you. If you tolerate it well than increase the dose of mucuna to 3 gms twice in day. If you need any help in locating do let us know. It would have been better if you could write little bit more about your general health and what other herbs you tried.

Health and Peace
