QUESTION: Hi,
My dom and I are fairly new to the lifestyle, we've been involved and discovering together for about 2 years now and I've recently hit a brick wall in my hopes to serve him. He's often said that it would be a good idea to look into the local community but has never followed through with it. I was trying to figure out how to do this for the both of us and then proudly approach him with the information I've collected.

I'm really looking for similar like aged people (20 somethings) in our community that are serious about the lifestyle. Possibly a mentor for my master as well?

With us being so young I have a fear that there are a lot of people out there that won't take us seriously and if we found those that were the same age if they were just a group of kids criticizing the lifestyle. (I've found several forums where vulnerable people have posted and been plagued with horrible rude replies) I guess I'm not even sure where to start in order to find a genuine group of people willing to help and possibly meet in person.

ANSWER: If you can tell me what area you are in, I will hook you up with the right people to mentor you.  Most older people in the scene realize the importance of newbies  as we become more and more mainstream.  Real scene people are extremely nice and love to share their knowledge and experience.  I think you will enjoy meeting them, and there are groupw and munches everywhere.  There are also several places where you can find books and go to play parties--you can learn a lot by asking other people questions and watching. The rules of a play party are simple--don't touch anyone's sub or toys without permission, don't interrupt a scene or aftercare and don't talk loudly during a scene or get in the way.  You watch quietly and when the scening couple are finished and rejoin the party, you are free to ask them questions. Be polite--people who re into BDSM are the nicest people you will ever meet, and anyone who is rude to you is a wannabe not worthy of the title "Master".
