hello and thank you for allowing  me to ask you a question here. my question is this. i have been in the D/s life for a couple years now. i was with Someone and in this process i have learned a little about M/s relationships. i guess i am asking if it is possible for a submissive to become slave. i love the idea, but my fear i guess is being hurt (physically). But that again comes from trusting one's Master i would think. i have been told that because i am submissive i am not slave material. do you have any tips for me or places i could read and learn more about it.

Thank you for the question. Lets see if I can shed some light on your question but first let me say, please don’t allow someone to tell you what you can and cant be. One thing that I find a shame, is the amount of people out there who think they can look at someone or talk to them and say “ oh there is no way you can be a slave.” Seems a bit short sided don’t you think?
Now having said that there are some people, who may have a little more difficulty adjusting to station of being a slave, but I like to think that if you are committed to it, anything is possible.

There are several slaves.. me included. started out bottoming and then in D/s relationships, only to find that becoming a slave best suited their needs and personality. i find it was advantageous for me to have experiences a number of different stations. So personally i think it is definitely possible to move from submission to slavery. In addition i also believe we are forever learning about selves and what we found satisfying at one stage or our lives may not be what we need in another stage in life. The other thing is that there is sometimes a natural progression that happens with D/s couples as they develop deeper connections. Sometimes Master and slave is part of that progression.

There are a number of books out there that might be helpful is describing the internal process of being a slave. For me being slave is about what I think of myself and how strong my desire is to serve another, but you hit the nail on the head when you said that one must trust the person they are relinquishing control to; but I digress.

There are many books out there erotic in nature. However, people I know personally wrote these books. Although I do not agree with every point they make they offer a great jumping off point.

One thing to remember about being a slave is that we are all different and no two of us are alike. There maybe qualities that are similar but that is the extent if it. If being a slave I something of interest to you might I recommend doing some thinking about what your motives are for becoming a slave. It has been said that being able to take a whip or submit to extensive bondage while being sexually used is the sign of a wonderful lover but it’s a person who truly desires to serve another for the master’s purpose and their pleasure. To receive pleasure when your owner smiles or nods as a sign of a job well done, or if a person is committed to their station with every fiber of their body is the beginnings of a slave. Those words have always give me something to think about and have serve well in helping slaves discover their true nature

I think its important for a person to look inward for what they desire rather then to allow others to label them. So much of a slaves internal process is just that, internal. Go with your hearts desire. Let you be the judge of who and what you are.
