Answer I can completely understand your frustration. I actually found someone on SIN (spankinginternet.com) and have had a bit of success on alt.com but it does seem that you have to wade through a lot of curious people who really aren't interested in taking the next step and enter a real life relationship. There are sincere folks on collar me but it can be a challenge at best to find them. You might try posting an ad or searching ads on Craigslist to see what sort of respond you get there. I know several people who have met people going that route.
In general the best thing to do is to join a local club and get to know people that way. Attending munches and events. At least these are people you know are really in the lifestyle and not just playing games.
