BDSM/Is my b/f ashamed of me?

Question
I have been seeing my b\f for over a year.

We have a vanilla relationship as wel as a D/s relationship.  The issue id he actively avoids having me meet his friends and family.

I am a single mother and the only free (no child) time is when my ex takes my son.  So, I have Wednesday evenings and every other weekend free.  I spend this time with my b/f;vanilla and D/s.  the issue is that he will not allow me to meet anyone he knows or meet anyone I know: no explanation.  He says I am free to not see him on my free nightws but that makes me choose between himn and the world.  It is isolating.

A few months ago I told him that I can't continue this way.  he has to let me into his life and accept mine.  The problem is that since I have been seeing him, I have drifted away from my friends because it is him or them.  Since i told him i can't go on this way, he has made a great effort to make sure his friends and family do not intrude on our weekend together.  But for  me, it just goes to show that he can't stand the thought of me meeting these people.

Do you think he is ashamed of me?

I am an educated, successful person I can't understand this...

Any opinnion might help

Answer
First off talk with him on this and how you feel, there might be some underline reason for this.

As to not seeing others and the way that it is making you feel, you need to sit down and talk with him about this as well the way it is making you feel.

He just might be concerned with the D/s factors and not wanting others to know.  Maybe he has not told anyone and yes at times it can slip out.  God knows it has happen in my own life.  But I can not tell you enough to communicate….communicate on this, talk about it and try to work on why it is this way.

Or maybe he is just not the right person for you to be with, I do not know I do not know him and I have no idea what he thinks and feels.  I am on just what you have to say about this matter.  Please talk with him and try to find ways to communicate with him, write him letters as to how you feel about it all. Just communicate on this.

Thank you
