Question
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question, any help is great! I am young and very interested in the D/S lifestyle. I’ve been reading about it online and am looking to further my knowledge, however I am finding this difficult. I am looking for reliable information, such as books or websites that would better explain the lifestyle, training and anything else there is to know. The information I am finding doesn’t seem very truthful or helpful.

You are wise to be cautious about information that you read on-line. Anyone and their cousin can create a website, and unfortunately a lot of what is out there is either mistaken or intentionally misleading. Some more in-depth sites that discuss training and other matters, but pertaining more to Masters and slaves, instead of Dominants and submissives (there is a big difference):

Also, try to find a DVD of a movie called "The Secretary," starring James Spader and Maggie Gyllenaal. It doesn't really provide any information, per se, but gives a good insight into some of the thought processes of someone new to the lifestyle.
Another good book, which is not about BDSM per se, but does give a good look at some of the thought processes behind power play, is "Domestic Discipline," by Jules Markham.
