i recently came to the realization that i am submissive person. a Dom i met online told me that he wants me to find another Dom because he was interested in someone else. well he asked me what type of Dom i wanted and i am not sure because i dont know what types there are out there

Answer
There are many types of Doms in the Lifestyle. There's Sadists, Those into mainly the control aspect, ie: a D/s relationship, there's "Daddy Doms, who like their slave or sub to be "little girls", there's "Gorean", which is about strict control, and punishments, but not scening (Sadomasochistic play, which includes, but not limited to floggers, canes, paddles, whips, and the like).

There are many "types" available, depending on what YOU are into. Do you like pain aspects of the Lifestyle? Do you prefer more of a control thing where you do as told, with only discipline involved if you mess up?

Much of the question you have asked depends on what you are looking for in the Lifestyle. There are some Doms who are a mixture of all, or some of these things, as well.

Let me put it this way. Finding a Dom is basically finding someone who is into the same things you are for the most part. Remember, though, even if a Dom likes the same things you do does not necessarily mean you will be compatible with Him.

I would check out a site called Gloria-Brame.com. It's a learning site, with much info into the Lifestyle, and can answer many of your questions.

Also, find a group locally that meets in your area, and attend a slosh or munch. You will find like minded people there who can guide you, and help you to connect with a Dominant in a relaxed, non stressful atmosphere.
