Question
i entered into a M/s relationship where i am the master. i have never been the master before. How do i begin training on my slave.

Answer
Michelle,

First, please don't use the small letter "i" when referring to yourself.  That's how a slave refers to itself.

You might start with books on this page:  http://www.slaveregister.com/listings/books

This is a list of the top-selling Master/slave books listed on Amazon.  You can find most of my books on there (search for "Rubel").

I'm the author of the four-book set on Master/slave Relations:

"Master/slave Relations: Handbook of Theory and Practice" is the foundation book. This will really explain what the M/s structure is all about and help you think through your emerging relationship.

"Protocols for the Female slave: Handbook of Theory and Practice" is its companion to give you an idea what you probably will want to prepare for your slave.  This book is the direct answer to your question about starting training for your slave.  If your slave is male, then the book exists in a gender-neutral format under the title:  "Protocol Handbook for the Leather slave: Handbook of Theory and Practice."

For your own personal development...

I'd highly recommend Guy Balwin's book "Slavecraft" and two books by Peter Masters: "The Control Book" and "This Curious Human Phenomenon: An Exploration of Some Uncommonly Explored Aspects of BDSM"

"Dear Raven and Joshua: Questions and Answers About Master/Slave Relationships" is more focused on people already in and M/s structure, but very useful nonetheless.

You might want to do an Internet search for MAsT (Masters And slaves Together) and the name of your city.  If you're in a good sized city, there will probably be a MAsT chapter there.

You'll also benefit tremendously from attending one or more of the six conferences held annually around this country dealing primarily with Master/slave issues.  If you let me know a large city near where you live, I'll send you the link for the next conference.  They're held in Dallas, San Jose, CA, Washington, DC, Phoenix, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, and Atlanta, GA.

Please feel free to write back with any other M/s questions.  It's my passion.

In Leather Heart and Spirit,

Bob
