Question
I have been tasked to write a petition as to why i want to be collared to my current partner.  I have never had to write (or have seen) a petition, so am at a loss as to where to begin or what is required. In my heart I belong to Him as He is not only my friend and lover but my Sir, Master, Daddy.  We have lived together for over a year but have known each other for almost 3 years.  

Any insight or assistance you might be able to provide, would be greatly appreciated.

First I would like congratulate you for what sounds like a wonderful relationship.
As for your petition; I have done some looking around and you are right there isn’t a lot out there to act as a guide. I find that petitions are a leather thing. Actually I love them because it gives us a chance to really give thought to what it is we are want to do. I also find the petitions put us in a frame of mind that to serve and to be owned is a privilege worth asking for. In addition petitions give us a unique opportunity to share with our potential owner what our understanding is of our station/role in the relationship. Lastly the offering of self, mind body soul.

There are no real standard rules or formats for petitions. However, I have written mine in letter form. There is no length requirement or restrictions but the longer more detailed versions are reserved for the contract that may follow in the future.

The different in the two is; in the petition you are asking for the honor and privilege to be owned and serve your owner. The contract is more of an agreement between both the master and slave and tends to be, but not always, a more joint effort. Don’t for get to sign and date your petition as some are agreed to but are time sensitive. (6 -12 months duration)

Petition for slavery

I (your name) being of sound mind and whole spirit on this (insert date) do offer myself fully willingly and without reservation to Master (write his name) for the purpose of consensual slavery. I fully understand and accept that if I am accepted that I will be his property mind body and soul. I will be for his purpose and his pleasure. I will surrender to him so that he mind shape me into a slave worthy of his collar and his ownership. I pledge to trust, honor, respect and obey orders that are inferred or implied. I will give the best of who I am to him both fully freely and without reservation. Lastly if accepted I will hold true of those leather values of trust honor respect loyalty and a sense of duty.
