Question
is it good to let my sub be the master once in awhile?
Lately she has been asking or hinting about tying me up and i'm not sure if this would be good for other aspects of our relationship.
Just not sure if a power exchange i suppose to be one way or not.

You're not changing roles, she'll be serving you by doing what you ask: tying you up.
No power exchange, just serving you.
This comes up all the time. Sometimes it pleases me to serve my slave during our semi-formal dinners. As I like to be flogged, she sometimes serves me that way, too.
