BDSM/Ginger oil

Question
I have bought several hands of ginger root over the years, and after peeling and carving it, only to have it not provide any of the strong burning sensation that many describe.  I understand that finding fresh ginger is the key but I obviously have not been successful in this venture.   My question: Is there some way to mix essential oil of ginger with another ingredient(not an oil carrier) that will be easy to use in the anal and vaginal areas and not cause any problems but still remain latex compatible?  Has anyone used the essential oil of ginger and if so, how well did it work?  I have read many different articles and checked several web sites on figging, but have found no mention of using the essential oil. Do you know of any people in the lifestyle that may have used this?  Can it be mixed with a water based or a silicone hybrid lubricant as a carrier instead of an oil carrier? I know that using lubes on ginger root plugs will block the natural oils from doing their work, but if there is only the oil of ginger mixed with the lube and then spread on the area, will it cause a burning like the plugs will do?
Also, is there a mixture of different essential oils that can be mixed in with lotions or creams that can be smoothed over the buttocks prior to a spanking that will increase the bottom/sub's arousal for the spanking?
Thank you, and I anxiously await your answers.

Answer
Hi Ms Lilith:

The issue you seem to mention may be one of sensitivity and perhaps threshold of sensation. But more to the issue of ginger essence, you are right that any other medium may dull or dilute its effects. But also there is the risk if it works (when it works) that the oily medium may make it harder to start, but also harder to stop it once it starts due to the type of medium. After all the 'essential' oil of ginger is a kind of oil with some element of ginger in the oil medium, being already diluted from its original form. So the 'ginger oil' would be further diluted if added to another lubricant. Mixing it with a silicon base lube could make a weird mix since still one is water based, so the result could be messy.

I am not aware of anyone using that oil, since all the experiences i have heard relate to the ginger root. In some other extreme cases i have heard people using capsicum creams, yet i advice high precaution in using that since it is the stuff that makes Chiles HOT, and rubbing any amount of it could have the desired effect, yet you do not know for how long and how intense. So it is better to err in the side of caution for that. Remember that anal and vaginal areas are many times more sensitive than regular skin, and its oily base can really penetrate and remain in the area, even after the wanted duration.

I know some menthols could increase the circulation of blood #heating the area# locally to the applied area, but arousal is more of a mental state achieved subjectively, not by a cream alone, but more perhaps by what it is done and how. If what you seek is arousal or stimulation, you have to make the distinction, of what is the cause or what is the effect. There are many warming lubricants these days that are warming to the touch and water based but would be a question of research in your local pharmacy or adult store.

I hope you have a few clues on where to proceed next and find the solution you require.
Best wishes. Be well, be safe and have fun.
