BDSM/New Comer

QuestionI came across a friend of mines secret love of BDSM and his collared Sub one day whilst surprising them with a visit and ever since I have been fantasizing about being in the same position as his sub. With someone to take care of me and look after me because I have always been thrust into having a lot of responsibility since I was young and I just want to give it up to someone whom I know will be able to look after me and care for me. Is there anywhere I should be checking out for information on this subject?
AnswerHello Rebecca:
The best source is books and Internet. These days there is thankfully a plethora of information in text related to BDSM. Amazon has a great depository or book into topic. So many that perhaps you way want to narrow it down to the topic that specifically interest you. Also, strangely enough BDSM entry on Wikipedia has a very comprehensive entry and definition to prime yourself and get acquainted with some terms and definition on the subject.
Also, after reading and informing yourself, or arming yourself with knowledge i call it, you could venture out to meet local people in your are if you happen to live in a large city that happens to have a BDSM organization. It al varies depending on the country and city. But also you can reach other and network via Internet. But this is done a bit after you find out a few basic of BDSM and define perhaps your needs and wants, and a bit familiar with terminology to not be misled or confused.
What i told you is the intellectual side of all this. Emotionally it is like a normal relationship in the aspect of finding someone who matches you well, you have chemistry with and happens to have similar kinks. Yet again finding a regular person is complex enough, we add an extra layer of difficulty when looking for BDSM partners. It is not an easy path to embark upon, but the rewards can be very fulfilling and lasting. I wish you the best in your explorations.
Be well, be safe and have fun.
