Can you tell me about edge play like fire and water play?

Edge play, such as fireplay, drowning scenes, breathplay, and bloodchokes should be left to those who know what they are doing.

Fireplay involves the use of alcohol torches, alcohol, and obviously fire. Designes can be drawn on the sub or slave, then lit, and then put out almost immediately to avoid burning the sub or slave.

Drowning scenes are actually dangerous, as the panic which sets in can lead to injury of the sub/slave, or the Dominant. There is also the possibility of heart attack, asperation of water into the lungs, or severe psychological damage.

Sensual knifeplay is also considered edge play, and can be quite exciting. It consists of restraining of the sub/slave (For safety reasons), and then caressing the sub/slave with a very sharp knife, making them feel exposed.
