BMW/1992 BMW 325i power windows & sunroof inoperative

Question
A few weeks ago all four windows and power sunroof began to operate interminently.  When one window would not operate, the rest of the windows and sunroof wouldn't operate.  After a few minutes, they would all begin to operate.  Today they all stopped operating and my manual does not show an electrical schematic or offer any help in this area.  I've check all two prong fuses.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Dwayne,
I'm not familiar with 92 and newer BMW's, but I'm pretty sure there is a "breaker" like device on the dash.  On the older 1984-1991 BMW's there is a switch right above the radio that will turn off all power to windows and sunroof.  I'm not sure where it would be located, but it may be dirty or loose if it's working intermittently.

 Hope this helps,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
