Question
When I start my car it stalls immediatly. If I hold in on the gas bring the tach up to about 2500 rpm and it will run, release the gas and it dies. Thank you

Open the hood and locate where the throttle cable attaches to the actual throttle body. (place where u can pretty much rev. up your engine by hand)Inspect that area for any broken parts (spring on the cable etc) Secondly Make sure the ICV (idle control valve) is clean. If the problem still persists, I would expect a damaged ICV. Hope this helps.

Also deffective coils and / or distributer can cause this type of prob. In this case a bmw service center can help you best.
