Question
Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I' m trying to find the power window relay in my 1993 325i, I looked under the dash driver side, but it doesn't look like any Chilton diagrams. There are two relays, one says "crash-alarm" the other is a blue relay. Is this the power window relay? Might you know where the relay could be if it's not there? I'm pretty sure from the Chilton book that it's not in the fuse box under the hood. I did not see any relays under the right side dash.
Thanks so much!

Answer
Matt,
Unfortunately I am not very familiar with the wiring on the later model BMW's.  I know more about the '84-'91 E30's.  The Chilton Manuals are not worth owning, in my oppinion, and are very vague on describing things.  If you plan on owning the car for a while, I would purchase a Bentley manual, they are much more in depth and cover every issue that you would need.  A helpful hint:  Your car is called an "E36 325i" so search for some E36 forums and ask the question there.
I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but I just dont know enough about these cars.
 Thanks
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
