Question -
The small piece of plastic that connects the back privacy screen to the motorized arms broke and no longer holds the screen up. Is there anywhere to purchase separate parts of the screen system rather than having to buy the entire system (which is what the dealership says must be done). Thanks!

The rear sun screen comes assembled as an entire unit and is not servicable. They are also pretty rare in 540i cars. Your best bet would be to find a BMW recycler and see if they have the entire unit they could sell you. Keep the old unit if you replace it because if the new one ever breaks then you could have the spare part from you old one.
