BMW/BMW Door problem

Question
I have a 1995 bmw 325is. My door does not close all the way without slamming it hard. Because of that, my window does not go up all the way (the model I have, when you open the door the window goes down slightly and when you close the door it rolls back up). Is there something wrong with my door? Is it off balance or something?

Thanks,
Kevin

Answer
Kevin,
Stand outside the car and close the door, try to find out what is causing the door to resist closing.  Sometimes the latch needs to be adjusted or greased.  I dont think I can help much without seeing the car.

I would take it to a Dealership and go back to the body shop to have this fixed.  Those guys fix body panels on BMW's for a living, and I know that they have removed a door at least a few times.  They will know how to adjust the door to fit correctly.
 Hope this helps,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
