Question
My 1996 328i is overheating. I've taken it to the shop on thee different times for the samething. No one has help me yet. I can drive the car 2 blocks and it will start to over heat. The thermostat has been replaced, the water pump has been replaced and the system has been flushed the car is still over heating. Also the oil pressure light is on and the oil has been changed including a weight increase.

Answer
wow... sorry to hear about your missfortune. Have you had your cooling system pressure tested. for leaks etc. air in the system will cause all sorts of issues. I had a crack in my canister (attached to the radiator) and it would not allow the system to maintain an air tight pressure seal and well the temperature needle would shoot up and you know the rest. other then that how is your head gasket? a blown one would do this. Hows your radiator? any blockage. hope this helps and good luck
