Dear Ron,

I have a BMW 318i 1993 model. I have a central locking system with remote key. Normally when I lock the car all the locks will lock, but recently the off side passenger door lock will not lock. So every time when I lock the car now, I have to manually lock the door by opening it and lowering the lock tip.

Is there anyway I can remedy this?

Misba... I dont know if you were wanting an answer from Ron... But the question was directed towards me Emanuel.

So I will answer it.

The problem is the power door lock actuator. This a fairly common problem with older model BMW's.  The only fix would be to take apart the door locate the plastic actuator and replace it... the only problem is that the actuator is a nightmare to get out. I would reccommend you go to a shop to do this, if you absolutely have to.  But it might be pricy.
