Question
Hi Josh,
I have a 2.7 alpina engine in my E30. It seems to have the blue 325 injectors could you tell me the part number for the correct items please or suggest an alternative.
Regards

John

Answer
John,
If you wanted to go back original, I would contact Alpina.  There weren't enough of those cars made for me to know right off-hand the injector size or part number.  Chances are that Alpina used the 3.5L injectors from the Big six.  I'm not sure on that... but that's probably what they did.

I know most of the guys with engine modifications are using the Ford 19-pound (19#) injectors from a Ford V8.  They are both Bosch injectors, and fit the same, but they have a little higher flow rate.  I would pull one of your injectors, get the part number off the side, and call Bosch's customer service line to get the specs on it.  That will tell you the flow rate, and you can get matching injectors from there.

 Hope this helps,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
