Question
I was happy driving around when all of a sudden I pulled up in a drive way and my car just shut down. I then started the car and unfortunately it would eventually quit. I had it towed and when I went home the car front then on drove fine. Being a low wage earning college student here in California I didn't take it to the shop. After class at school the ignition one day decided to show no life at all. When I turn the key absolutely nothing occurs? I THINK IT'S ELECTRICAL. I tried to pop the clucth and jamming to the gas no luck. Any advice?

Answer
Anthony,
Perhaps you can provide more information.  What kind of car is it (year/model)?

If you can, explain EXACTLY what happend when the car stopped.  Did it die like you cut the key off, or did it start running worse and worse until it stopped.

A little more info and I could possibly help narrow down the probelems.
 Thanks,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
