BMW/Timing Chain: Do I need to replace it & how often

Question
I have been receiving mixed answers when I ask this question. I own a 1995 325is with a V6. I have asked a number of people whether I need to
replace my timing chain at any point and if so
how often. Some people have told me every 100K, others have told me every 150K. I even called the BMW dealership Service Center hear in Orlando, FL and they told me that I never have to replace the timing chain on my car. Ofcourse, I would prefer not to have to replace it since I been told that it is a very expensive job, but I am trying to find out who should I believe.

Any pertinent information you may have on this matter will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Wally

Answer
You dont have a V6, BMW doesnt make one. You have an inline 6 cylinder engine. Your dealer is correct there is a very real possibility that you will never need to replace the chain. It should only be replaced if the engine fails for some other reason or it becomes noisy.
