Question
How to change them?

Answer
Basil,
Open the hood, and look down behind the headlights.  There is usually a black plastic cover you need to remove before you can actually see the back of the headlights.  Once you remove this plastic cover you will see the wiring that plugs into the bulb.  Unplug the wiring from the bulb and twist the bulb 90° and remove it.  When you are installing the new bulb, MAKE SURE NOT TO TOUCH THE GLASS PART OF THE NEW BULB.  The oil from finger prints will refract and cause the bulb to over heat.  This will ruin the bulb soon after.
So hold the bulb by the plastic base when you are reinstalling it.  Remember that the high-beams lights require a different bulb that the low-beams, so make sure to get the correct one.

 Hope this helps,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
