Question
i have a six cylinder e36 320i 1993 model its an automatic  , for some reason everytime i press the pedal i hear a rattling noise coming from somewhere under the car ? all i know is its something rattling of the actual floor of the car and the more i press the throtle the faster the noise gets the noise is located somewhere underneath the gearstick / front console area ? please help as i have tried askin evry 1 and no 1 knows ?

Answer
John
I'm not familiar with the noise on the floor, but if it increases when you press the throttle its likely something connected to the engine.  I know that the tensioner for the serpantine belt will rattle when it starts getting aged.
 Good luck,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
