Question
I have a 1991 525i.  I am thinking of putting on some 18" Breyton style wheels.  18/8.0 with a 5/120mm bolt pattern and a offset of 20mm.  Will these rims fit well?  Should I get 17's or 19's or another size?  Will 18" wheels mess up my steering our cause any potential harm to my vehicle?

Answer
Paul,
The wheels should fit, however I'm not sure of the backspacing/offset requirements for your vehicle.  Breyton should have a list showing what vehicles can use those wheels.
The car had 15's factory, so I wouldn't get TOO crazy with size.  18's would probably fit, but you "might" need to roll the fenders.  I would say that 17's are the best bet.

 Hope this helps,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience

I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.
