About Josh Fields
Expertise
I can answer questions related to the BMW e30. These are the cars produced from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertable) in the United states. I am more fluent with the six cylinder models, although few things changed for the 4 cylinder cars. I know most of the problematic areas of these cars, and have found ways to fix them.

Experience
I have owned six different E30's over the last 10 years. I do all my own work, and know about ever nut and bolt on these cars.

BMW - shakes at high speed

Expert: Josh Fields - 1/5/2007

Question
hey, I have an 1987 e30 325e and it shakes at speeds higher than 80 mph. What do you think it could be, maybe the bearings? let me know what you think?

Answer
Shahab,
There are many things this problem could be.  Most likely you need your wheels balanced.  I would take the car to a tire shop and have them balance the tires.  This should fix most of the problem.  If you still get a vibration, it could be that your wheels have a bent spot in them.

 Good luck,
 Josh
