Question
I have a 1982 BMW 733i 3.2L V6.  After I start it up for a few minutes, it's starts to idle up and down consistently.  (High then low) I thought it was the air flow meter, but it wasn't.  I replaced plugs, wires, distributor, rotor cap.  I was wondering if it has something to do with the Motronic?

Answer
Hi hope I can help.First off BMW 3.2 is a inline 6,they do not make a V-6 engine.Your problem is probably a Idle control valve or unit.If you have an oil leak fix it because it will cause an unmeasured air leak and draw oil in from the crankcase. Clean your throttle body and the idle control valve. The problem may due to items that feed the Motronics so check your grounds, especially the body ground at the battery.
