Question
the passenger side window of my 1986 bmw 325 wouldn't roll down no matter how hard i press the power window switch. it has been like that for as long as i can remember? what could be the problem?  the switch, motor or regulator?  if the switch, how do i remove and replace it?  do i just pry it open?  if the motor, where is it located and how i do remove and replace it?  if the regulato, same questions. thanks for your help.

Answer
To answer your questions yes it could be any of the above. The switch is easy to get at and can be checked without to much trouble. It can be gently pryed up,once done power can be checked. The brown wires are ground, the others power wether it is in the up or down mode. The other parts of your questions really have too much to really breakdown and I would suggest a Bently manual as they break it down more.
