Question How do I remove the D/S airbag from a 1998 BMW 740il?
Answer Lon, remove negative battery cable to prevent accidental airbag deployment. Turn steering wheel ninty degrees from straight position. remove the T-27 or T-30 torx screws that are located on the back side of the steering wheel bolted into the airbag. Carefully remove all airbag/steering wheel connectors. Don't turn steering column without steering wheel attached (doesn't have to be bolted on)
