Question
QUESTION: alt. new and tested, blubs all good,
new battery.
86 735i. charging system has no output.
can you help???????????

ANSWER: If the alternator was tested, it has to be charging if it's rotating.

Is the belt loose?
Is the wiring correct?
How do you know it's not charging?  Warning light?  Gauge?  Battery going dead?

Sears and other places will do a free charging system check.  Would be worth getting one to find out the source of the problem.

QUESTION: the warning light does not work after the problem started.

Answer
OK, so if the warning light isn't lighting, you either it is either burned out (unlikely), or the system thinks it is charging.

Again, I'd have to say the quickest and easiest way to solve this is to take it someplace and have the charging system checked.  It's pretty inexpensive, or free.

Other than that, you have to start from the alternator and work towards the battery.  Are you getting charge from the alternator?  Are your connections bad at any of the points?  Particularly the ground off the alternator and the battery connections?
