My cup holders in my 528i 98  will not go back in and stay in .  I would like to know how to get them out so I can replace them.  Thanks for the help.  Jon

Sorry, can't help much on that one.  Not familiar enough with the e39 series.

HOWEVER, as a BMW mechanic told me one time, there are only two types of BMW cupholders:  Those that have broken and those that are about to.  If you can get yours to stay in (any way you can), I'd strongly recommend this great aftermarket.  I think BMW may have started offering it as an aftermarket too.
