Expert: John Kingery - 2/27/2008

Question
Recently, on my 325i 2002 the airbag light came on.
I scanned and it gave me these 2 codes...

1.Brake and Pedal positions not plausible
2.BLS\BTS plausibility
People say that if airbag light comes on, it can deploy anytime is that true? What should i do?

I am not an expert in this area, but my understanding is that the danger is more that the airbag WONT deploy.

I would take the car to the dealer and get it straightened out.

Would you want to put yourself/your family/your friends at this risk for a few bucks?

I'll mess with a lot of stuff, but airbags are serious.
