Question
do i need an adapter for a 2003 bmw 330 xi to add freon myself if so where do i get one? is the big hose with the nozzle or fitting is that where the freon is addded?

Answer
I can tell by your question that you are not certified in a/c repair. It is important that you are cautious when around Freon as it can cause injury or death if not properly used. With that said you can get a Freon kit from just about any parts store. It comes in 1 lb cans(although it isn't really its less)They also have it with a sealer in it ,which is probably what you want to use. They are probably 8-10 dollars a can.Good luck and be careful
