Question i have a 4-door '87 325i....the front passenger window seems to have complications...it goes down fine...when raised the window goes all the way up and closes fully, but the motor keeps spinning making a clicking noise. None of the other windows do that even when i keep pressing the button nothing happens. I am wondering if something is not adjusted right along the rails which allows the motor to still spin when the window hits the top.....please help....
Answer The motors are a gear driven design. The clicking noise is probably the gears inside of the window motor. You'll probably end up replacing the window motor. They are the same 84-88 3 series. They are about 220.00 dollars(part # 51 33 1 386 988) from Bavarian Autosports 1-800-535-2002.Make sure you have the part number checked in case I have a misprint
