Hi John, I have noticed that one of the air intake's situated between the bumper and the head lights has been capped off. Do you know why, and would re-instating it provide any extra performance. I am always looking for ways to enhance, this already excellent vehicle, still further. I was toying with a "Cold Air Induction kit, but I'm hoping you will say my idea above will have the same result. Car has already been re-mapped and a custom free-flow exhaust has been fitted, results are awesome.

Sounds extremely dangerous.  I recommend you sell the car to me at once.  (Sorry......I'm in the market for a good '96 or '97 840)

This wouldn't likely provide any performance at all.  

if you're interested in more punch, have you looked at a different rear end?
