Question
A/C in my 2002 BMW 325xi stops blowing air all of sudden. Sounds like the compressor kicks on but no air? Then after driving for sometime everything starts working fine.

Sometime back I had "Service Engine Soon" indicator and I took the car for diagnostic. They told me that thermostat seems to be a problem and asked me to replace that whenever I get sometime. After driving for few miles the indicator went off and I didn't bother to replace the thermostat and that indicator has not come back on since then.

Could that be a problem?

Also, the 75000 miles service is coming up. Is it possible to get list of items that needs to be replaced or checked as part of 75000 miles service?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Answer
First off, never mess with the thermostat.  If you were told it needs to be replaced, do it.  BMW engines are bullet-proof and last forever....EXCEPT they hate to be overheated.  Replace the thermostat.  Now.

Have the blower system checked at the 75000.

Check engine isn't tied into the A/C
