I live in Ny and I need to fix my convertible roof.   I dont want to go back to the dealer who specializes in these types of repairs- thanks

I see your comment and I am sorry that you must have had bad experiences at the previous BMW dealership.There maybe a qualified person to work on your vehicle in your area,all you will have to do is search the area.Having a BMW does make it rather hard to find people.Although it is a BMW many,rather some independent garages could fix the vehicle you just need to find them.I know the biggest problem maybe the financial matter but all cars cost to repair them.Finding the right one is the challenge.Repairing it yourself is sometimes more of a challenge because of having to know about the system you are looking at to repair you need to know many basics about the car and have good mechanical ability to look and think about how it should work and why it doesn't.
So my best suggestion is to look around the area,talk to fellow workers about who they have repair their car(and how their experience was).
