Question
We have a 2000 323i BMW experienced an intermittment problem with it going into reverse (acted like it was in neutral) have just had the transmission rebuilt and guess what 24 hours after getting it home - reverse has already not worked once this morning - as this is very intermittent could this be something electrical??? The transmission shifts perfectly and the entire car drives like a dream.

Take it back to who rebuilt it.  Something is up with that.



Follow-up:  I apologize if my answer wasnt what you were expecting.  I read it that you had a transmission just rebuilt, had a problem immediately, and wondered if it might be something other than the transmission.

I'd ask you to understand I get questions from people who don't know how to refill the washer fluid, or unlock a trunk.
