Question
Fuel Pump fuse blows. I've installed a new fuel pump and relay. Vehicle will sit and idle fine forever, but I drive 3 or 4 blocks and it blows a fuse. Seems to be engine temperature related, maybe? Can really confirm that though. I put a new fuse in immediately and it will idle, but will blow again when I start to drive. Gas tank is clean no clogs. Using a 7.5 amp fuse, someone suggested using a 10a fuse?

Answer
That would be bad advice to put in a larger fuse. The system circuit maxes at 7 amps so 7.5 is the fuse that should be used. The problem is probably the wiring harness. You will need to remove the rear seat and inspect the wiring and grounds.Follow along the seat where the harness goes and check for green or burnt wires.
