BMW Repair - electric window

Expert: John Kingery - 2/20/2009

Question
The passenger window has stopped working. it wound the window up leaving it 2 inches short then wont move up or down. would it be tohe motor or winding mechanism? please help
thanks
Steve

Answer
You need to determine if the window motor is getting power.  If it is, it's likely the motor.  If it isn't, chase the wiring.

(Depending on how staight forward it is on your model, I'd swap the switch with a different window first.  Easiest and cheapest fix.)
