Question Hi there. The speedometer in my 533i doesn't work and I was wondering what could be the cause and perhaps how to fix it? Thanks so much in advance.
Answer Sorry it took me so long to get to you been busy here.Your speedometer is probably in need of a cable.You need to get under the car and check too see if it is indeed working.I believe it is also attached to a box that calculates an emission light.So you need to physically look at each cable.If it was a later year and it would be electronic,in which you would check the rear end connection to make sure it isn't corroded.
