BMW Repair - over heating

Expert: Don Berlan - 8/14/2009

Question
I have a 94 325i. It over heats even after I replaced the thermostat. if there is a small leak in the thermostat cover would that cause it to keep over heating

Answer
Probably not.You should check to make sure you coolant fans, electric and clutch are working properly. Also check for debris in between the radiator and the a/c condensor.Any leak should be attended to as it could add to any problem you might have.Make sure you also bleed the system of air when refilling the radiator. That is the screw that is located on the thermostat housing
