BMW Repair/E32 fan blower motor

Question
As I'm sure you've dealt with before my fan motor only works on the high
position. I am attempting to replace my resistor but do not know how to
get to it. Or even where to buy one. I have a 91 750il.

Answer
The “blower resistor” for your E32 chassis (7-series 88-94) is actually a Final-Stage Unit. The final stage units are electronic as opposed to the resistor blower controls. However, the symptom of high blower speed only is the same for these particular final stage units. The unit is mounted in front of the center console and is accessed by removing the glovebox and then accessing the unit in the area that would be above and to the right of the passenger’s left foot.
