Question
Hi there - the heater has never really worked as good as some vehicles I've owned, but in the past few years...  it takes a long time to send heat, it doesn't blow very hard and most importantly when I am stopped or idling it blows cold air.....  someone said it could be 'valves' that when stopped they are not getting enough power to open....  I really have no idea and would love to hear yours....  deb

Answer
Well it sounds like air in the system. When cold, check the radiator to see if the coolant is low.If you have to add coolant loosen the air bleed screw, which will be in the upper radiator hose/reservoir tank.Fill until coolant flow freely without bubbles.Have the heater knob on full heat fan running on low.
